Fellowships for Mexican students pursuing doctoral studies at UT System Institutions

Fellowship provides support for up to five years. Applicants for the ConTex fellowship must have Mexican citizenship and be either incoming students or in the first or second year of their Ph.D. program. In order to be awarded, students must:

• Register with ConTex

• Be admitted to a Ph.D. program at one of the UT Institutions before application

• Apply for and obtain a Conahcyt scholarship through the Study Abroad Fellowship Calls (to apply, students must have already been admitted to a Ph.D. program)

Applications Open: From March 17 to May 23, 2025

Results Announced: August 8, 2025

Applicants are advised to request a Type 1 Scholarship, which includes support for tuition.

Interested students are encouraged to read the call carefully and follow ALL directions to submit their application. It is important to pay attention to the areas of study covered by the call.

To be eligible to apply for the Secihti scholarship, students must:

• Have been accepted to a doctoral program

• Have Mexican citizenship
